Services Provided
The Office of Housing Administration is responsible for planning and administering housing services and facilities for over 4000 students. This includes the operation of residence halls and apartments, off-campus housing and conferences. Housing Administration supports the educational mission of the Residential Education Office while providing the business operations for all housing related functions. Recruitment and retention of residence hall students is paramount to the business operation; achieving and maintaining full occupancy is the primary goal.
The department employs approximately fifteen full-time employees and provides a wide variety of business services to students. Department functions include contracting for all residential living spaces, accounts payable and receivable, computer coordination and support for residence halls and office operations, maintaining of facilities, operating the SDSU conference center, marketing and maintenance of an off-campus housing listing service.
